Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) is collaborating with 36Kr Holdings (NASDAQ:KRKR) to expand artificial intelligence, or AI, applications across 36Kr’s media platform and enterprise services.
Under the partnership, 36Kr will use Baidu’s Wenxin large language model, or LLM, and its digital avatar platform XiLing to enrich 36Kr’s digital content offerings, engaging users with timely and informative reporting while enhancing content production efficiency.
Through the initiatives, 36Kr will build a full-service, omni-channel media capability matrix.
Beijing-based 36Kr will partner with Baidu to create an application marketplace with applications offering a range of LLM functions.
The two companies will use resources to promote and expand potential LLM deployment scenarios. This will help developers and enterprises to access and use LLM applications with ease.
In addition, the companies would launch a LLM solution for media and enterprise services.
The companies will also work on training program development to raise awareness of AI among enterprises. Generative AI services have taken the world by storm, since the launch of Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Companies around the world have launched their own LLMs. Baidu’s (BIDU) Ernie Bot, Alibaba’s (BABA) Tongyi Qianwen and Tongyi Wanxiang, Google’s Bard, OpenAI’s DALL-E, Midjourney Inc.’s Midjourney, and Meta’s (META) Llama 2, are some of the names.
Earlier today, Baidu reported Q2 results wherein revenue surged 15% year-over-year and also surpassed analysts estimates.
