PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP) stands to lose as Burger King (QSR) is in advanced negotiations with The Coca-Cola Company (KO) to be its exclusive beverage partners in India, The Economic Times reported.
That would end a nearly 10-year relationship, the paper said, citing people familiar. The deal could be announced by the end of the next quarter.
KO is already served at rival McDonald’s (MCD).
Yum! Brands-owned KFC and Pizza Hut have exclusive partnerships to serve PEP drinks in India, the Times reported.
Burger King has more than 391 stores in India.
The companies were little changed in late trading on Monday.
