Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group has struck a music rights deal with legendary rock musician Graham Nash.
According to the company, the deal, for an undisclosed sum will, see it “acquire, develop, and expand his musical legacy to new generations of fans”.
Nash is known for his work as a member of the Hollies and the iconic ‘Crosby, Stills & Nash’ and ‘Crosby, Stills & Nash and Young’ with equally legendary musicians David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Neil Young.
The Grammy Award-winning artist has been inducted both into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame twice.
The deal encompasses a range of assets from the superstar’s career including his solo work, as well as his work with The Hollies; Crosby & Nash; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Nash’s deal follows Iconic’s recent acquisitions of the catalogs of Cher, Dean Martin, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Nat King Cole, Linda Ronstadt, and Joe Cocker.
Iconic launched in January 2020 with the acquisition of a controlling interest in the legendary catalog of The Beach Boys.
Nash’s body of work began with the Hollies between 1964 to ’68, including Stop Stop Stop, and On A Carousel, among others.
The classic union of Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young) yielded songs described by Iconic Artists Group as “lightning rods embedded in our DNA”, starting with Nash’s Marrakesh Express, Pre-Road Downs, and Lady of the Island, from the first Crosby, Stills & Nash LP and his iconic Teach Your Children and Our House from CSNY’s Déjà Vu.
Nash’s career as a solo artist began in 1971, beginning with two albums, Songs For Beginners and Wild Tales. His latest effort, Now, was released worldwide on May 19.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Iconic team on various projects to further the legacy of CSN’s music and my own.”
